MORRIS – On July 10, We Care of Grundy County received a call from trucker William Brown who had a load of watermelons to donate.

We Care called in some volunteers to come help unload 117 watermelons, walking them the length of the semitrailer to hand them off to other volunteers who took them inside. A “robo” call was placed to We Care’s current list of clients and the watermelons were all distributed by noon, according to a news release.
