Newark Fire Protection District sets open house

NEWARK – The Newark Fire Protection District has scheduled an open house for Aug. 10 for two of its longtime members.

The district will be celebrating the storied careers of firefighter Dave Johnson and trustee Floyd Dierzen, according to a news release from the district. Both public servants have compiled 50 years of service each for the Newark Fire Protection District and will be honored for their years of service during the open house.

The open house will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Newark fire station, 101 E. Main St. Newark. Refreshments will be served.
