MORRIS – The 3 French Hens promise much better weather for this Saturday’s market.

After last month’s gully washer, they are anticipating clear skies and record crowds. The Hens want to thank all who came out; despite the torrential downpours, there were an amazing amount of shoppers and vendors at the July venue, according to a news release from the 3 French Hens.

Organizers Traci Tessone and Monica Spence-Vogel are thrilled to announce the 3 French Hens market will be featured in “Midwest Living.” The August issue will be showcasing a “Girls Road Trip” with Midwest stops from Princeton to Morris. Be sure to stop by the 3 French Hens booth to pick up your own road trip map.

This Saturday’s venue will offer old favorites alongside many first-time market sellers. There will be three nonprofit groups: the Sub-Vets will Share their architect renderings of a proposed memorial, the TaTa Trot organization will be raising funds for breast cancer, and once again Alex’s Lemonade Stand will be fundraising for pediatric cancers.

Just a reminder to all coming to CanalPort Park, there is ample free, public parking with several city lots within a three-block walking distance. The Hens encourage shoppers to stay for the day shopping and eating in downtown Morris, as well as enjoying the Morris Cruise Night that begins at 6 p.m.

The 3 French Hens French Country Market is held the second Saturday of the month, May through October, at 123 W. Illinois Ave., Morris. For information on shopping or selling, call 815-513-5600, or visit www.3frenchhensmarket.blogspot.com.
