GRUNDY COUNTY – The Veterans Mobile Medical Unit from Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital will be at the Morris American Legion on Sept. 8.
The unit will be at the Legion Hall, 212 W. Washington St. in Morris, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 8, according to a news release.
The Mobile Medical Center will again visit Grundy County from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 15 at a location yet to be determined.
The Mobile Medical Unit will also offer flu shots beginning in October. Availability will be dependent on getting the vaccine at Hines in time.
The VA’s Vet Center will be at the GCVAC office, 1802 N. Division St., Suite 405 in Morris, from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday. It is scheduled to continue visits on the first Thursday of each month.
To receive these services, veterans should bring their VA issued ID card or a copy of their discharge documents. The Grundy County Veterans Assistance Commission can assist veterans with obtaining this information if they do not already have it.
