
Baby show, photo winners namedThe Grundy County Corn Festival traditionally allows some of its youngest competitors to get things off to an early start. This was again the case, with the annual baby show being held last Sunday, Sept. 21, in the auditorium at Morris Community High School. Judging of the annual baby photo show is also completed in advance of the five-day festival. Winners of the baby show included: 6- to 12-month boys - Chase McConnell, first place; Zachery Terry, second; and Hunter Russell, third. 6- to 12-month girls - Marlee Nugent, first place; Avery Poole, second; and Aubree Collins, third. 13- to 23-month boys - Blaine Doss, first; Caiden Nelson, second; and Aymen Winchester, third. 13- to 23-month girls - Leona McCleland, first; Emily Bergmark, second; and Tanner Kempiak, third. 2-year-old boys - Bradley Burla, first; Giovanni Salerno, second; and Alex Kostal, third. 2-year-old girls - Aliya Abercrombie, first; Mariel Offerman, second; and Isabela Sanchez, third. 3-year-old boys - Caden Weitzel, first; Kieran Stewart, second; and Vincent Sanches, third. 3-year-old girls - Natalie Serna, first; and Harmonie Kalous, second. 4- and 5-year-old boys - Zachary Papesh, first; Zachary Ludvigsen, second; and Aiden Law, third. 4- and 5-year-old girls - Kalie Legg, first; Maddy Vercelli, second; and Skylar Davison, third.
