Mr. Jose Alfredo Banuelos Sr., 54, of Morris, passed away unexpectedly early Thursday morning, Nov. 5, 2009, at Morris Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born Jan. 3, 1955, in Compostela, Nayarit, Mexico, he was the son of Jesus and Antonia (Marmolejo) Banuelos.

He married Marina Estrada on Feb. 14, 1975, in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico. With his wife and family, they moved to Morris in 1995 to make their home.

He has been employed with Brownie Products Factory in Gardner for 14 years. He enjoyed cooking, along with spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Morris.

Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Marina; two daughters, Claudia (Erik) Vasquez and Magali (John) Garcia; three sons, Jose A. (Ana L.) Banuelos Jr., Luis and Salvador Banuelos, all of Morris; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Samantha, Gisselle, Jocelyn, Kendra, Valeria and Sophia; three sisters, Conseulio, Rosa and Lilia; four brothers, Juan, Javier, Humberto and Jose Luis Banuelos; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister and two brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Immaculate Conception Church, 516 E. Jackson St., Morris, with Rev. Fr. Diego Maximino officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at U.C. Davis & Sons Funeral Home Ltd., 301 W. Washington St., Morris.
