International exchange program looking for volunteers

Published: Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

ASSE International Student Exchange Program is seeking volunteers to serve as area representatives. ASSE provides academic year and semester exchange programs in the United States for high school students from throughout the world.

Students are 15 to 18 years of age and have passed a series of academic and character requirements; local representatives also have the opportunity to support American high school students in their journey abroad.

Area representatives recruit and screen prospective host families, supervise the exchange students in their community throughout the year and interview American students who wish to live and learn abroad. Area representatives are compensated based on the number of students they supervise.

For information call the Midwest Regional Office at 1-800-736-1760 or email asseusamidwest@asse.com or visit host.asse.com to learn more.
